Like so many other things hurting in this economy vacation home rentals are suffering and deals are to be had. In Florida, occupancy rates are down as much as 35% and as a result people are competing for renters like never before.  This holds true across the country as the real estate melt down continues to claim victims. But the result is that if you look hard enough there are great deals to be had. Some home owners are advertising on the web in places such as Craigs List and if you are savvy you can work up a good deal or get a free days thrown in to close the deal.
